Hey guys! I'm looking for a new second monitor and it needs to be IPS, 24'' (at max), 1080p, and with a headphone jack. Do you guys know any monitor with these specifications?

Thanks in advance!

thanks for the reply mate, I will check it out! yah, that second monitor will also be used to play ps3, thats why it needs to have a headphone jack hehe.

You can always use the av out on the ps3 aswell as the hdmi. I used it to run my speakers but it should work the same with headphones. Might be worth a thought :)

Makes sense.

Alternatively if you want to have more options as far as monitors you can output the audio from the PS3 over the component cables (if you have them). You can change what output the audio is sent through under "audio settings". Depending on your audio set up this might be an option as well.

When using the component cables as well as the HDMI out on PS3 you can either choose a single output or set it to output the audio from both the component and HDMI simultaneously, thats what I do for using my headset on the PS3.

Hey there!

Just like SavageCupcake said, use the AV out for audio and HDMI for video. But make sure you can fit both cables on the back of the Xbox. I personally had to modify the AV cable by removing one side of the plastic shroud (5 min work) and going around with insulating tape just for good measure. At the end of the day all works great for headphones or speakers and you do not see the slightly ugly Frankenstein connector.

I would like to recommend the Dell UltraSharp U2412M as well, response time is not something that great, but other than that it is solid product that has been reliable. For the price you do get quite a lot.
When I got it in my country it included a 3 year warranty and one of my friends who was working at a store actually recommended it due to small RMA's. Later I confirmed it with reviews and the fact that it still works great.
Personally I use it as a secondary monitor for general work, design, movies, casual gaming.

They also sell a Dell sound bar for those monitors.

Check out the monitor review if you fancy it:

NOTE! You will need an HDMI to DVI adapter due to the fact that the monitor has only DVI, DP and VGA. They are really cheap and might be laying around if you bought a motherboard or a GPU some time ago.

Hope this was helpful

Didn't know you could output the audio using the component cables, awesome tip! I will look into it MicroAlex, thanks :D

Well the audio has to go somewhere if not using HDMI :) With the component/av cable you just need the red and white connectors for analog (if I am correct ab the analog part) audio signal, HDMI will take care of the digital video. Simple and works for me :)

It is indeed the Red and White connectors for stereo audio, Yellow for video. As I said above though, on the PS3 there is an option to output audio through the HDMI and component at the same time, it's what I do when I'm using my EX-05's as they have component audio pass-thru connectors.
