IPS and TN Panels

Hi,

I want to ask does the e-IPS panel have better colors over the TN because it only have wider view range ?

I am asking because many TN panels now have fixed this issue and have also wide range of view.

I have always heard that ips panels have a greater colour reproduction than TN. But I don't know if that has changed over the past few years?

After the difference I saw going from a TN to an ips, I will only ever buy ips!

I am asking this because I dont care about the view angle I always be sitting in front of the computer

Now I have to choose between two models available near my place: Asus VH238H (TN) or Asus ML239H (e-IPS)

i can only judge on the TN panels that their not bad at all

but apperantly ips is better

My IPS panel monitor is infinitely better then my TN panel monitor. The quality difference is pretty big.

When you say quality and colors are better do you mean this not related to view angle ?

in other words even if I set directly in front of my PC monitor in both types TN and IPS still IPS is better or it only become better when I watch the monitor from angle view ?

Yeah I sit directly in front of both of my monitors, one being a TN the other an IPS Dell, and dragging a window from one screen to the other can often have completely different colours! or even show up feint logos on the IPS where you just can't see it on the TN.

Your easiest and (likely) most popular comparison? Compare the colours on an iPhone screen (set at a decent brightness, of course

) with your regular TN-panel monitor. Then imagine it significantly larger, with a higher resolution, but a lower PPI.

I like alot everything in this monitor from features, being IPS, look, ultra slim (less than 1 cm!!!)

the only problem that some reviews say it has some bluer in fast movies and FPS. but does it really notable ?

I tend to stay away from companies I don't recognise, but if reviews say it is alright and the price is right, then why not

Regarding the blue tint, the only way you would notice it really is if you have another monitor, like when you look through coloured sunglasses for ages. After a while the world just looks correct, it's only after you take them off, and compare it to what everything should look like, do you notice that the colours were off.

So will the colours be right while using it? Probably not, will you notice it after a while? Probably not

Unless it is actually REALLY bad then it will look like everything is filmed under the sea lol
