iPhone OS on G5

It could possibly be a video pre-recorded then played and rehearsed.

The music in the background makes me think this.

Also who would want the iPhone OS on a desktop. :p

Yeah I kinda went down the road of thinking it was a mock.

But, thinking about it, these guys appear to be into the dev side of things including production. It would probably help dev if u have a larger screen :p

The SDK contains a feature where u can run a phone on ur leopard in anycase. The kernels are native in that respect.

If it aint a mock up, I'd be interested in how they did the flip. Possibly the device itself from an iphone.

Thanx T, I couldn't remember the embed thing.

If real then that's pretty impressive.

Like said above though, really wouldn't need that OS on a Mac.

Ahh, u gotta think laterally -

Think robust unit, Apple-sexy looking ofc, not quite as big, something like a stripped down mac-mini behind it, just running something similar -or between- the iphone OS and SnowLeopard. The whole OS is pretty interchangeable.

Totally compatible with all the "i" products, wireless. A dock to charge it perhaps.

Something like the tablet stuff that's coming out.

Yeah but on a full blown mac?

Like I said though... Still very nifty!

They are proposed to be kinda dev people m8. U can't dev an iPhone on an iPhone, but with the SDK, even the free* one, u can do it on a ppc mac. I wouldn't be surprized if what u see is just a blow-up of what the sdk shows u. (it depicts a fully functioning iphone/itouch on the screen)

Beauty with the Mac OS in it's current form is that they seem to be able to chop and change what modules they want to include within a distro for whatever platform.

Not to the extent of Linux, but similarly.

Nice idea but I have my doubts

The rotation was a nice feature.

Must be an expensive monitor too!

The rotation thing was emulated somewhere on utube by some1 with a wii-controller and a pc/win/linux or something I seem to recall.

The monitor isnt a touch screen monitor, its a device called multitouch that fits over the front of the monitor thats basically a clear touchscreen panel ;)
