Looks great, I'm still baffled why they used such a crusty old engine on the last Deus Ex, It played well yes but graphically it looked extremely last gen.

eggsbawx and potato station 3 is the reason why(at least I hope that is the reason why)

Lets just hope Nvidia "Gameworks" doesn't fuck it up for everybody... again. Them trying to get first dibs on that engine.. better off with Mantle. At least it gives people the option.

Gives people the same option if they went for mantle though.

With mantle you have a choice of having a smoother and potentially higher performing game on AMD cards and having to stick with DX on Nvidia and potentially not have as smooth or high performing experience.

With gameworks you can either have a few extra graphical features on Nvidia cards or not have them on a AMD card.

Either way I would rather have neither of them and have a engine that is designed to work smoothly on both AMD and Nvidia, cards than a engine tweaked to work better on one card or look better on the other.

Gameworks is a bit more then that. It also contains code that AMD aren't allowed access to. Hence when any game with gameworks comes out, it's very optimized for AMD. Mantle is open source so Nvidia could've supported it but didn't bother.

If a game has mantle, it won't impact on the DX11 performance. DX11 is just a bit behind. DX12 is much better however.

It looks pretty fantastic. I hope the colour palette is more diverse than an amalgamation of browns, greens and yellows (which it should be).

If it looks this good and plays well (60 fps at a minimum) on PC we're onto a winner. It probably won't happen, but we can hope :)

It was a 2012 game so it was pretty much with the times.

It really wasn't, Even a lot of the reviewers were commenting on the last gen visuals especially the character face models which were just horrible, Countless threads on numerous forums all saying the same thing, What's with the inferior visuals, It's not a bad looking game it's just very mediocre looking.

I love/have all the Deus Ex games as I have fond memories but I just wish they would of spent a while longer on the eye candy.

Example here -

The game just generally doesn't look good compared to games that came out in the same year i.e Crysis 2, The witcher 2, Shogun 2, Dragon Age 2 *With the High Resolution patch*, Mass Effect 3, Even Skyrim *Without mods* example below -

Gameworks fucks the game up for AMD users who get no option in turning it off. Mantle and DX11/12 are different. If you are running Dx11/12 with Nvidia it in no way makes a difference to the results just because Mantle is supported.
