Intel's X299 Kaby Lake-X overclocking reviewers guide has leaked

Always reinforcing that upgrade path on the premium products, why not try to get in a double dip on the chip sales. On the flip side, those quad core chips will probably be a steal on the afterhand market.

I wonder what gives it that further OC range. Power delivery improvements on the platform?

Looking like a good overclock chip, just hoping x299 boards arent too pricey compared to z270.

fyi i have z77 and looking to upgrade soon.

AIOs can handle 1.25v easy = 4.8Ghz and up depending on chip. That is good in my book :)
And in 76% of the chips they could hit 5.1 at 1,275, should still be possible on AIO.
(Without having fans at 100% ;) )

Games and Video editing , streaming. Main focus is that I want the monster (Thermaltake Core P5) off my wall and a small sleak ITX case as my main rig.

Well, either the 8C or 10C may fit your needs. As for boards, the NDA lifted 4 minutes ago so go browse for ITX (Asrock/EVGA?) :)

Yup and you try finding a "good" one. 5ghz carrot again by Intel.

The 5ghz carrot has been waived in front of consumers for far too long.
So Intel used a 100 chips... And how were they selected? Were they from the magical binned 5ghz bucket? Or retail samples.

I'm interested in seeing how the Temps look on reviews under water before I spend my money.
