It all depends on pricing, if Intel keeps pushing high prices then AMD has nothing to really be worried about, and even then AMD is more likely to drop prices to keep the sales up.

Personally for me it would depend on whether they have fixed the security bugs, can get the temps and power draw under control as well as actually make the cpu's worth the price.

Maybe then AMD might have something to worry about but if Intel don't do those things then AMD have nothing to worry about.

As long as there's a performance increase from my current 9900K I don't really care if it's on 14nm+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ as long as the performance increase is there, Although having said that I highly doubt I'll need to upgrade for at least another release or 2.

The big question ATM is if Intel's IPC gains will be ate up by clock speed regressions. Sunny Cove hasn't looked very promising so far in this regard. Hopefully things will get better.

I can't wait to see AMD release 7nm mobile CPUs. That will mark a big change for AMD!
