Compare current prices for the (equivalent 2nd and 3rd gen) 2700K and 3770K at the places you're likely to buy and that should give you some idea. They don't drop as much as you'd perhaps expect IMO.

Cool, so there's no need to wait for next year, the prices will basically be the same

Like the sandy prices fell as ivy was released .. if Haswell isn't total rubish xD

Sandy CPUs will most likely be EOL when Haswell comes out and then IVY will most likely drop in price to around what Sandy is now.
