Intel's Core 2 Quadro Kentsfield

Not the greatest review in the world, THG doing it's best to confuse everything by overclocking and underclocking the CPU for all the tests so you have to really concentrate to do a true apples to apples comparison.

Why they didnt just include a page or two on overclocking and FSB speed by themselves i have no idea.

I thought the title was a bit OTT, adding more cores suprisingly adds more performance for the multi-threaded programmes and multitasking tests as well as synthetics, but didnt help otherwise. Hardly rampaging.

It is yet to be officially confirmed that the new kentsfield will carry a 133mhz FSB - this is specualted to be mainly down the yield of the 975 chipset being able to handle it rather than the chip itself.

Most (read as all except THG one) B1 stepping Kentsfield I have seen are 1066mhz FSB ;)
