Considering you get 9GB's per the 1GB of NAND, it's actually not much more expensive when you think about it. Getting 9x the amount for only 3x the cost? Pretty good deal tbh. It'll obviously be way more expensive but in context it's a good deal.

I said price per GB, not price per die area. Moreover, this new 3d Xpoint is 8-10 times denser than DRAM, not NAND. AFAIK NAND is currently much denser than DRAM.
