Intel Pricedrops Scheduled?

Intel is apparently planning some significant price cuts come April, as well as the introduction of some newer chips for April and June. There will surely be some cheaper goodies amongst the list in the article; new build perhaps?

The timing of this could be good news for me (bonus due at that time) and new build consideration is already happening although it may end up as a laptop. just need to keep it from the missus

Are we talking about new chips within the same socket series, or something prehaps new ? hmm same ole socket by the looks of it, just smaller capabilities.

this is definately good news for me, not decided whether to go with one of the budget 1mb cache c2d's though, how much of a performance will I see?

Yeah I picked that up, I was additionally concerned of any releases beyond the present socket set.

i know there is never really a perfect time for buying stuff when computers are concerned, but i have just got myself a new setup with intel 6600

and i will be cringing soon when the new chips come out lol

sods law, but if you wait for prices to drop, you will be waiting forever :wavey:
