Intel Notifies AMD of Cross-License Breach

I think its a bit unfair. AMD only has around 10% of the market share of CPU sales, and yet Intel still tries to bring them dow even further. Imagine what would happen if AMD closed down, higher CPU prices would prevail for all! :(

Nah.. worst that can happen is if AMD close they remove the license for the x86_64 subset from intel.. and we all go back to 32bit windows.

Intel might own the x86 set, but AMD have the x86_64 subset that MS uses for its 64bit OS.

intel are on dodgey ground here,If they try to force AMD to shutdown, then they will be classed as a monoply and that will not be allowed to happen, sounds more like they are just after some cash as the economic bite is hitting them as well

It may be a good thing as then it would be a monopoly, goverment would have to do something to get another business to step in. Maybe even fund AMD. It could lead to something good.
