Intel B660 with Vcore control?

I'm considering moving to a locked Alder Lake CPU (12500, probably) and want to undervolt it as low as possible, but I've read a review of the board I had in mind - MSI B660 Mortar - and they mentioned that there was no vcore control... this strikes me as very odd, but it's the only review I've been able to find that even mentions vcore, let alone adjusts it.

Can anybody with a B660 board confirm whether or not vcore control is present?

This is one of the things that irritates me. Not you dude :D

What I mean is, lower end stuff gets poor coverage and companies only want high end products reviewed. This makes buying something lower down the stack a bit of a nightmare, as they are seldom even reviewed let alone reviewed properly.

Let me give you a small piece of advice though (not being sarcastic or anything) RTM. IE, read the manual. It's the first thing I do whenever considering any motherboard as it's critical in letting you know the layout, features and etc.

In this instance I have avoided the MSI as I came up with the same sort of info as you (and what looks like a post from you on Guru3d) and found this board.

From there I had a dig through the support and downloaded the main manual which was not what I was after. However, they do offer a BIOS manual, and.

So whilst I can't answer your question exactly what I can tell you is that that board seems to allow it.

Yep - anybody not buying the very top tier is lumped into the "fit and forget" crowd.

Not arsed about motherboard brand - all I want is decent DDR4 overclocking potential, and heatsinks on the power phases... which the linked board doesn't have:D. But we know the brand is a good bet for vcore!

I will try to find some BIOS manuals from other vendors... maybe Gigabyte or ASUS.

ETA - the Gigabyte 600-series BIOS guides feature vcore... but that's no guarantee that all the settings apply to all the chipsets:(
