Intel announces their presence at Computex - Keynote dated

Calling it now, Even though 8 core coffeelake is just an 8 core 8700K it will need a new mobo, Intel do not give a rats *** about their customers.

Probably 2H 2019. Not in a hurry though. Not unless a great ITX board comes out at a decent price. Right now they are all crazy expensive for very little features.

What are you running currently? On a mobile so can't see signatures.

Me personally will keep the 8700K until Sapphire Rapid or Ocean Cove - whichever is a true new architecture.

6700k at 4.2. Could probably go higher but my EVGA board(Z170 Stinger) is crap and the BIOS is wack so it's fine for now.

I feel you man, had an EVGA board in the past and it was just meh. They're great for GPUs and PSUs IMO but anything else, nah. Anyway, you have a solid chip there. I still have no OC on mine as I await the 1401 BIOS (currently Asus is on 1301). All core turbo is higher than the advertised speed though (the actual all core turbo BIOS is disabled of course). Man do I digress!

4.2 is solid? I'm pretty sure people were hitting 4.5 with skylake weren't they? You're 8700k should easily be hitting 4.8ghz at least
