Intel, AMD and ARM respond to security findings

This **** show has longer to run. There is still more to know. We are going to see a divide between the patched and unpatched. Many Linux servers go unpatched, IoT never get patched. You can guarantee that MS will only patch Windows 10. Leaving a little over half the Windows install base still on Windows 7 with their asses hanging out. There will be those that refuse to patch or don't. As I said this is a *** show.

If this is Intel only and at some point willful negligence can be proven the lawyers are going to be really busy.

Yup. This is probably one if the biggest scandals I've ever seen in my 39 years of using computers. Kinda makes the Crossfire runt/dropped frames exposure look like nothing.

That one wasn't even that bad. Nvidia had that problem too just less so. I mean it wasn't like it was a security flaw. It was just a flaw of software as a whole since basically everything was being brute forced with mGPU which has it's drawbacks.

what's bad I read that with Suggs singing in my head

One simply has to :D

But yeah, seems like they are trying to smear s**t over other companies hoping it will stick so that they all get tarred with the same brush. Nice to see AMD's very quick response though. Mind you, it will still make the pure fanboys feel better.

EDIT.Meltdown being used on Intel system to steal passwords...
