Inexpensive Intel Quad Cores

When do you think we're going to see Intel release a cheaped out version of the QX series quad cores? I'm thinking along the lines of how they are releasing the E4xxx series dual cores right now.

By the years end do you think we should expect to see sub $500 quad's from Intel? I hope so, because I'm definately getting the quad core itch pretty hardcore.

I'm shooting for within the next 12 months, which in computer time = a decade.

i hope its soon tbh, just ordered an E4300 and im hoping it will clock well, will only last for so long though and quad core would be nice
