Images of MSI's semi-custom RX Vega 64 Air Boost have leaked online

Something tells me they're not going to bother though. They're too expensive for a GPU like Vega. They didn't make one for Fury either, possibly for similar reasons.

AMD restricted the Fury X to reference GPUs only. MSI literally couldn't make one.

I said Fury. ;) Gigabyte made their G1 Gaming (no one bought them though and Gigabyte didn't advertise it very much), ASUS made their Strix version, Powercolor, XFX, and Sapphire made theirs. MSI didn't make any.

Yeah I don't think the Lightning will release either. Not enough people to sell to that would buy it at the cost they would sell it for.

Question is: Will anyone bother buying a 56 or 64 from MSI or Asus anymore, since the rumours about Nvidia's 1070Ti are true?

If they made a Lightning card it would be the sort of GPU that you would want to run from your neighbours power lines :D

As you say, not worth it. It was with the 1080Ti because the Ti is a furnace and the Lightning is one of the few coolers that can almost match water cooling giving you the clocks without the extra expense (well, you would save a little over water) but other than that it just wouldn't be worth it on Vega.
