I'm tired of waiting around for the mobo's I want, what should I get?

Ok, I need a new motheroboard badly since I've pretty much fried the brains out of the chipset on my MAX. I've been hanging tight waiting for the DFI RD600 or the IN9 32X-MAX but neither have surfaced.

Which is going to be the best board for me on phase that will give me the highest FSB out of the box... Price is matters not.

Oh yeah, preferably a board that doesn't have a bunch of caps around the socket either as it interferes with my insulation.

After looking around a bit on Newegg, is it just me or are there absolutely no motherboards worth forking out $$$ for??? Jesus, someone needs to release a killer board, I'm dieing here....

I guess I'll just have to wait for the RD600, it will definately be the most killer board the world has ever witnessed on any platform but I need it NOWWW :)

Is there something in the bios like :

BIOS Boot Ghey Pink Screen [Disabled] [Enabled/Disabled/Auto]

.. Auto does it`s best to check if u`r ghey and decides for itself.

I fancy spending some money on a sota mobo in the newyear, so I`ll be watching for u`r reports Frag m8.

Well I've found THIS mobo for a good open box deal on Newegg. The retail on it is $220 and the open box is $160 which is an instant $60 off, seems like a good deal.

Now, my question is... Is this board any good?

I probably wouldn't go for it as its 590 chipset. Personally I want my next board to have digital PWM. I cant stand greasing around sockets peppered with caps and fets.

Yeah i'm still not decided what I want either RD600 or 610i.....

RD600 sounds nice, but ATI drivers are just pure trollop and if the chipset drivers are the same as the gpu ones "'ll throw up in my mouth"*

lol yeah, but usually you don't have to actually interface with the chipset drivers. They just need to install and be there for the most part. nV is kinda rare in the fact that they actually have like a control panel for the nForce chipsets, which is pretty useless to say the least. I have a feeling that the RD600 is just going to be the ultimate domination chipset though.

The asynchronous memory on the RD600 is what will totally own, but I would wait until people at least have reviewed the DFI 680i mobo, cause that being DFI and nVidia might be pretty nice.

DFI does have a great track record with nV chipsets too, so maybe it will be the killer board? Tough to say right now, but I'm still gonna put my money on the RD600 mefinks.

Ya it does look like the best to me too, maybe worth owning just for the irony of it being Intel and AMD.

My EVGA 680i mobo also has an async memory setting, will give it a whirl some time to see if I can oc further and stable...

I think it will be close enough between the RD600 and the 680i chipsets that you might just buy based on what video cards you run, that way you can match them up (I know you'll run two cards for SLI or Crossfire). If the IN9 32X-MAX was out a week ago, I definitely would have bought it over the EVGA. As it is, DFI have been the fan favorite for a couple years when running AMD cpu's, so it's a definite can't miss (short of DFI completely buggering something).

DFI is also buggy :o atleast compared to asus :p

Oh trust me I've had 4 DFI's and they all have their quirks but ASUS has their quirks too, trust me.

More on the hardware side too (Asus), COUGH VDROOP.

Found totally the opposite. From the 4 DFI boards I've owned and the 3 Asus boards I've owned all of the DFI's have been 100% stable (but then I do kind of know what I'm doing and if not I read a guide on it)
