I'm going 6800GT SLI

Well after a load of trouble RMA'ing my 6800U that died on me, i have finally been given a credit note by the retailer as i made a big fuss about waiting for the RMA.

This credit combined with a bit of cash from selling my 6600GT and some birthday money will be going towards 2x 6800GT + 2x Arctic Silencers.

All of which should be arriving tomorrow

I'll be taking some pics, and getting some 3dmark screenies for ya'all

Hey Jim have you checked that two Artic Silencers will fir on the 6800GT's?

I didn't think the space on the DFI board was sufficient to fit two cards with NV5??

Nice though mate. It'll be a long time before I can even think about getting another video card

Naa i didnt check actually. I've just had a look and i can't find anyone moaning about it so fingers crossed. Plus they are rev.2's if that makes any difference

Unsure of the Rev 2's but I have heard that they won't fit in SLi on a DFI board. Maybe best to ask in DFI Forums?? :eh:

Ya don't wanna buy them and then realise they don't fit

You could get a leadtek or somthing that already has a wkd heatsink on it?

Bleh, i've just read that the Rev2's have a flat copper baseplate, which means that there is no contact with the memory, unlike the rev1's that have raised parts on the baseplate.

Dunno what to do...cancel order and try and find some rev1's??

I'm pretty sure you can't use the NV5 with the 6800GT in SLi on a DFI board mate. The gaps not big enough to fit them in

I just looked and can't find it.. I HAVE seent hat tho. Maybe get the GT's ten see if there's enough room for an NV5.

I've e-mailed Kustom and they'll come back and tell me for sure

The stock coolers for the 6800's are great man, ride with them for a bit, you might like them.
