I'm converting...What drivers?

Hey lads,

I've just bought myself a x1800xt 512mb, to replace my 6800GS SLI setup which is giving me grief.

Are there any decent drivers that support x64? I was looking at the Omega ones as i've heard that they dont have all the cr@p that the Catalyst ones do, but i cant find any x64 versions.
 
I used the omaga with my X1600, recomended. Catalysts are a total pain in the rear end. Dunno about x64 drivers though.

I'm going to make a guide on how to OC your X1800 properly. You'll ****e at how hard it is.

Wait for it XMS before you try, you'll thank me later. I finally got mine Source Stable so far. :)

Ewww, I tried to convert to x64 and failed miserably, too many damn problems. I finally just gave up and went back to trusty old 2k3.
 
That was wtih my dreaded 6800..

BTW XMS, be warned. These card's run as hot as people say.

OC = not stable for me w/VF700. Stock is great.

Still performs leet too. I'm still tryin to decide last minute. What heatsink!? VF900 or Thermalright V1 Ultra?

Yeah, it was total crap... I got the retail disc in the "step-up" program for free back when MS was doing that promotion. Figured I'd give it a shot, only had it one night before I had enough of its lip and performed a lil "C:\>format /q" action on it lol
 
bleh, those catalyst's are such a pain in teh arse. I just use the normal drivers on my X1900 and it seems to be working fine, gives me great fps
