What is it with fudging IE that makes it bring u back up to the top of a webpage each time a pic is loaded to the page!

Bring up a site, scroll quickly down cos u know where u`r going, and it`s constantly pulling u back to the begining of the page whereever a freakin picture just loaded is!

.. this is where u can step in and tell me there`s a setting to stop this..

FF does this aswell and it really gets on my nerves.

ive looked for FF plugins to automatically create image placeholders whilst the image is loading, but alas nothing so far

I just press Escape on the keyboard or click the cross Stop icon to stop the page loading further images. Dunno if that helps you?

Any1 know if Safari does this ?

(Hard for me to say as it appeared the Mac I used last with twin dual Xeons seemed to draw the whole web pages before I took my finger off the mouse button!!)

I don`t remember Ie6, or Ie6 b4 lots of patches, doing this ?!!
