I would take that mobo to bed if I didn't think it would short it out.

I giggled too, that's a great name.

Nice choice on the case too

BEST NAME for a MOD ever . i love it ... good luck ..

That is a bit of a lovely Mb .. having to look it up. looks kind of kinky in blue lol ...

Nice pics, the blue does look good ihtbh.

Case looks nice to work in too.

SSD's... hope ur wallet has a balance for some top gfx.

Very nice dude! I'm really liking it it's going to be very blue ain't it? Please keep the pics coming.

BTW What is your SLI question?

update: Got enough parts to start her up and test hardware. Still need to order a cpu cooler and ssd drives. Im going to order another gtx 260 but i may have to wait a month or two before i do that. I wanted to go with gtx 275's, but i really want those ssds!

and then :( Failed to post on the test bench... Ive tried most of the memory slots, changed out the sticks, reseated my cpu, tried the different pci express slots, and tried another graphics card.

All i get is a blank black screen and the code "FF" on the diagnostic panel. I also get a flashing blue led light near the cpu.

Any ideas? (Update: Had to RMA the board, it was defective)

I think u'll find ur keyboard will be fully responsive to caps-lock/num-lock, and that it's down to a graphic anomaly. FF for most mobos is a -1 return being that things are ok.

Further to other things, I would seriously reconsider getting SSDs and settling for 275 or 260 or sli. Obviously I don't know ur exact figures, but personally I'd rather go down the WD, even Black, and get the best graphics I could vouch for.

Either that or get SSD and buy a cheap graphic card knowing I'll upgrade to the latest/newest when it comes out. Not all games like sli/xfire as much as benchmarkers.

on my DFI board is statted that "FF" Is "fully functional" could be the same on your motherboard

yea thats what ive been told. People are saying i may need to flash my board to accept the D0 stepping i7 cpu. Could that be the problem?

Tis going to sound silly, but have you tried both DVI plugs on the graphics card.

Youll be amazed how many people havent and thought they had a duff board.:wavey:

Thanks for the advice, ill think about it. I really wanted my programs to open and run super fast. I do alot of work on my pc and run alot of programs at once.

Not a clue in the manual as Ive just looked bar trying one stick of ram, a differnet psu, and a different gfz card it'd be down to either the baord been duff or the cpu or jsut a bios update needed.

However that FF means fully functional as said which means everything is fine wierd more help is needed from people with x58 systems as im a 775 person tbh.:wavey:

edit;

also take out any usb devices so its just a ps2 keyboard and diff sata drives.

Know this may open a can of worms with different opinions BUT

as far as im aware your not supposed to power up on a static bag as in your photo.

Static bags conduct electricity across their surface and therefore avoiding the electrical components inside them.

Use the cardboard box your mobo came in or a phone book.

Screw opinions, I agree whole-heartedly.

Direct to cardboard box ftw !

Thing being, anti-static bags shouldn't just be plastic.

ok away with the bag. I doubt the bag has caused any damage, the same thing happened when i had it in the case.

Ive just thought about using the modular cpu power cable instead of the fixed cpu power cable. Ill try that out in a a few.

Update: dident work :(
