i5 vs i7

Should I get Intel Core i5 3570K or Intel Core i7 3770K?
The difference in price is exactly 100$ which isn't that much.
I heard that gaming doesn't benefit from i7 so is that true? and does i5 have any limitations other than having less virtual threads?
How do I overclock these CPU's? The k means unlocked so can I overclock them to 5GHz? I'll be using a 360 rad with 6 Noctua high quality fans so is that enough to cool it?

Yes,
as far as I know no,
there are lots of video on youtube about this (easier for you to understand and we don't have to tell you every single step),
yes unlocked, probably not to 5 GHz for 24/7, easily 4.2-4.5 maybe 4.8,
if the rad only cools the cpu, it's a bit overkill

If you will only watercool the cpu a 240 rad will be enough and like they say go for a i5 for gaming and 5GHz 24/7 will not work you have to try to get max GHz for your cpu until its stable

I already have the rad, pump and res, I bought them last year for $150 I think, it was a massive discount. All I need is a water block, fluid and tubing.

i5 for gaming,

i7 for multi tasking

Personally i got the i7 i game alot but also do alot of other work sometimes, render few videos, odd bit of photoshop

overclock wise, i would suggest 4.5 GHz for the ivybidge processors, but push it till you think it can be stable and run that 24/7
