I3-I5-I7

Am i right in saying that all the latest Intel sandy bridge processors are mechanically the same. The highest binned being the 2700k, The 2600k being a good quality chip with hyper threading. The 2500k being fully functional but not quite good enough for hyper threading. The 2500 fully functional but not good enough for overclocking, and the i3 chips have dodgy cores.

I'm sure there is some type of binning going on, but I can't imagine something slated for use as an i7 is bad enough to end up as an i3. I also don't think there is any difference between an i5 k and non-k other than being multiplier unlocked. I'd be extremely surprised if they tested anything other that turbo clocks on a 2500k. I think Intel's manufacturing process is mature enough where large scale binning doesn't need to happen.

Of course I could be totally off on all my assumptions.
