i3 + gt 740 or amd a10 + r7 240

Im building a small itx pc using the silverstone ml05 for gog.com games as well as the odd more advance game.

the options i have is the i3 and the Gainward GeForce GT 740 (half height and 2gb)

or the amd a10 7800 and the r7 240 (I have a few games that will benefit from the crossfire)


I cant find much info on the gt 740 only the mobile version in laptops.

As I said no demanding games

If you can get either CPU with a 750TI you'll be doing your self a big favor as the 740 and 240 are both about as good price to performance as a 780 iirc.

I would wait on pricing of the AMD Athlon II 860K, it should be cheaper than the A10-7800, and overclock. Then add a 260X or a 750Ti.

I can only really recommend crossfire GPUs unless they are high end.

Or you could go for a Pentium Anniversary as a CPU.

Is it single slot AND Half height? If it's just one of these 2 you can probably find a half height 750 anf I know that there is single slot 750's.

I just had a look at the case and damn you don't got and good options I'd say that the 740 is probably the better card then.
