Just a quick question, is there much of a difference between 1/2" and 3/8" tubing?

As far as temps are concerned, no. The same can be said for flow.

Thanks for all the good help, mates. Though I think I'll go for the XSPC-kit with the 240 rad upgrade. It seems like a dirt cheap way in to the world of watercooling, and that's basically what I need at the moment. If I decide to go for a costum build somewhere later on, I could just use the XSPC in my bedroom-rig (old-skool P4). Guess the miss would be happy to get rid of the stock heatsink screaming in her ear at night. lol

And i have used both sets of tubing and havent noticed a difference in temps, i couldnt comment on flow. Personally though i prefer the look of the 1/2" id tubing..
