Go To Apple then Look |Here| Insprion Advanced 531 or 530 ;

what wld u rather spend your cashticles on?

sorry steveie jobs but that spec of chip is gettin on a bit, it (or its kinsfolk of similar performance) entered service and was top of the food chain late July 2006 --- its around 16 Months later given Moore's Law (power 2x every 18-24 months usually round 18 ) that chip isnt gettin its pension its getting fitted for a coffin

how many people buy stuff at otp prices? far too many imo!

check the 'muppets' that pay 'over the odds' at ebay every day!

trust me, you can buy cheaper - a lot cheaper!

Meh, people pay 15k for a car whilst there`s 10k cars available.

would you pay 15k for a car instead of 10k for the exact same car the only difference being the badge

(enter skoda superb v passat argument --- but even then those cars aren't as similar as the case in question)

yes

Its one of the entry requirements/commandments isn't it?

People do it by their 1000s everyday. Worldwide, who knows, millions perhaps.

In the UK they`re prepared to pay 15k for a car u can buy for 10k in mainland europe (including fares and hotel costs).

EDIT: World is full of examples. Buy smokes from a corner shop instead of buying containers at a supermarket. Buy fireworks at a rate of £50 per 10 seconds thrill. Buy carpet @ £45 pm, when u can get the same for up to half the price at another store, only u don`t have the classy fitters van outside ur house for the neighbors to see. Use a car to GO to the corner shop... waste of monies everywhere for services u can get cheaper or an alternate.

Need a link to the system req. site for leapold, gotta try that. How about system board drivers etc ?!?

beleive it or not, there used to be something called a 'loyal' customer!

(bngger me if i'm not showing me age here)

now - it's price that matters to the majority.

Well being as I use a different pc for my web/mail to the gaming and working pcs, Vista failed the test, I`d think long and hard about installing leo if there`s not gonna be as many issues as windows based ones.

As for Win vS OS vS nix, Frag`n`Joe can give the arguements either way.

As for costing, beauty is, I can just request it :)

Yeh, but just look at a mac, well worth it imo.. I pay the prices, so do many others.. You DONT buy macs to game.. I think people fail to understand that... As for buying direct, its the best way the prices on the highstreet are pretty much exactly the same..

Yeh anyway, In my opinion macs are worth the money you pay. I have never had a mac break, never had a virus, never even had a mac crash i dont think..

If U can run OSx86 10.4 10.5 is no prob (u can even use the upgrade system in 10.5 after patching)

mobo is no probs Ideally an intel chipset 945 or better ; realtek sound and net are well supported; ne modern graphs shd hav drivers...

there is a WIKI and a forum out there google OSX86wiki

My views are Best everyman os: .. hands down OSx Wins

Best Bleeding edge , geek love/OS == Linux

Best way to get you box turned into a spam bot/your sensitive data exposed == Windows

PCs `generally` need better hardware to do the same thing a mac does. Install FinalCut pro on a mac and pc machine with the same hardware and u`ll notice the difference.

hmmm I was semi aware of the OSX86 thingy, but I was kinda under the impression it was hack after hack and not 100% legit.

not since 10.5 ... recommended to have 2GB !!!!

but CPU wise once the enviro is processed they shd be the same (except xtra background processes that users install)

(my views on the Oses are exposed in the previous post)

Its aint 100% legit .... against the EULA

but discussion is legal as are instructions and posting KEXT's/Drivers .. just dont post a kernel hack !!!

Is a "kenal hack" of sorts required, or prefered, for a smooth install, or can u just slap in the DVD and go for it ?
