Hi all.

Just wanna know if this will work with my new parts i'm ordering.

(hopefully this method will decrease temps!)

Pump->y-splitter->gpu --->y-splitter->rad->res

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''cpu _/

Water will take the easiest route it can, the path of least resistance.

Therefore you will not get even flow through both blocks resulting in bad cooling.

Running a single loop will be fine mate.

Yeah soz I was a little short but pretty much what he said, I was gonna say. You don't want uneven flow in your loop

I would say that's not a great idea. Run them:

Pump>RAD>CPU>GPU>Res>Pump

I have this exact setup(bigwater 760i) and my average gpu temp is 50oC and my cpu is at least 40oC (idle) this is the reason i am ordering all these new parts.

Thank you for the reply, i appreciate it.

These are the parts i'm seriously considering gettin.

are they o.k?

EK Supreme

XSPC RS240

XSPC Single Bay Res

Swiftech Laing D5 Vario MCP655

8x EK 1/2" Hose fitting

8x XSPC Tubing Clip For 1/2

2x XSPC 1/2" High Flexibility PVC Tubing - 1m

That lot will get you a lot better temps than the Tt stuff mate. Might wanna swap out the D5 for a DDC, but the D5 is still an awesome pump (I should know :D)

Check out my basket:

1x Swiftech Laing D5 Vario MCP655 12V DC Pump

1x EK Supreme Clear Top (Socket A,754,939,AM2, 478 and LGA 775) CPU Water Block

1x XSPC Single Bay Reservoir - Black

1x XSPC RS240 120mm Radiator - Black

8x EK 1/2" Hose fitting

2x PrimoChill Anti-Kink Coils 3/4"- Black

1x PTFE Tape

8x XSPC Tubing Clip For 1/2" Hose

Reconsider or order?

That looks like a pretty good setup, but you may want to save a couple bucks and go for the non-vario version of the D5, IMO. I mean, really, how many times are you going to change the pump speed? (Unless you want to do some testing I suppose)

Now, I don't have a good feel for that rad, but perhaps someone else knows a little more?

One final (and very important) piece: FANS

Are you looking at getting new ones, or recycling?
