i got Logitech Z-5500 today :D

Wow nice m8, looks like a nice pair! (don't mean to be coming onto you :D).

Those speakers as soon as I seen the pics of them up there it felt like they were falling :p.

HUGE pictures.

Might need to resize them mate.

Nice nifty little speakers but I don't like the meshy look unless it is all black. :p

It's only just dawned on me that that is a roof ceiling.

Great speakers - think u should test them for long periods at high volume for the next couple of days atlest.

Just to be sure there ok, u understand ;)

(right now I would recommend "the day I tried to live - soundgarden" - be pretty decent at this hour, good bit of bass at the beginning and rock throughout)

Hope you have a pukka soundcard, makes such a difference when its fed a good signal, I personally love those speakers, have looked for an upgrade a couple of times but nothing designed for a pc can touch them :D

They rawk :D The ones kinda on the ceiling is a great idea, looks cool and will direct the noise nicely! Be inclined to rotate the sub though, I think the vent only sucks in air for the woofer, so the bass might not sound as good as it could.

Need to mount mine somewhere, waiting for my double bed and mouting em on the posts me thinks :D

Nice speakers! Hope you're putting them to good use.

Does anybody know how these compare to a basic stereo amp/bookshelf speaker combo in terms of music and games? Obviously the number of channels, but quality wise?

last morning i almost did full power on the Z-5500 and i was like wtf the bass was vibrating my whole body and not a little iam extremely happy with them and sound card is an X-Fi XtremeGamer

Not even a spot on a proper decent set of speakers and a nice audio amp mate I'm afraid :)

to be fair these logitechs are more than overkill for any pc though, much smaller scale than amp speaker combo...

Very true but at least its a start right? paired with a standard amp it does well for a 100pound system...

That wasn't the question asked. If someone had asked "are these decent for £100 on a PC?", then I'd have said "yeah sure".

*shrugs*

The Z-5500 are £100 now? bloomin heck i paid over £200 for mine a couple of years ago.

I still love them, best all in one speakers for their size and price imo.
