the overclock3d.net bench team needs you to help us gain more points and help us rise the ranks.

you can help us by signing up on hwbot here and submitting your scores to them. HWBot.org is a dynamic team of international hardware fanatics as well as internationally recognized overclockers, dedicated to gathering specifications and benchmark performance results of computer hardware as well as serving a non-stop overclocking competition platform for amateur and die-hard overclockers. you will be joining about 28,000 overclockers from all over the world competing in more than ten of the most popular benchmarks in thousands of hardware categories, resulting in over 500,000 benchmark results, a figure that is increasing by over 300 every day. the benchmark results generate points awarded to both the member’s profile, the team’s profile and the country of origin and based on those points members are ranking in the overclockers league, hardware masters league, teams league and many more sub-rankings.

i see lots of forum threads on here asking is my 3dmark score ok or is my ram as fast as it should be or can my cpu go faster, well on hwbot you get to compare your system to all the other overclockers around the world. not only do they have world wide rankings but each bench is split up into each peice of hardware so you can check how you stack up against others with the same kit.

we have a few dedicated members here all happy to help you try and get the max out of your system if you want help but we need your help to get more boints. hwboints are awarded to your results based on its quality in comparison to similar results. the points gathered from your results will give you a ranking in the overclockers League and support your team in the teams league. so as you gain more boints so do we all as a team and we all move up the team leaderboard. now getting boints insnt easy but every boint counts and even if you can only score 0.1 for each bench they still add up. you only need to get 11 points and your doing better than the great tinytomlogan himself

im not trying to get anybody to stop f@h mate but if you have a farm folding 24/7 stopping a couple of clients for a couple of hours a week to run a few benchmarks isnt going to put a big dent in your ppd is it? you might even find that after tweaking it to bench you can get a little bit more ppd out of it with the new settings you use to bench. super pi is a great indicator for how well your cpu is running so if you can get a faster 1m time with settings im sure it will eek out a few more ppd for you.

I've already made an account, and when all of my parts are in I will do some benching for the team.

I need to do some stability tests before I restart folding anyway

Just waiting for the RAM at this time.

Much more to do still though, i've got three 775 systems still sitting here unbenched

and I'm just starting OC'ing this 478 Northwood.

although weirdly enough I can't flash the BIOS, the EZwinflash from Aopen just doesn't seem to work..

I will report in if I hit any barriers

Currently eating for my re3 monk and 970 to cone in the. I'll bench the 950 with the 460s and the 580s then I'll do the sane with 970

I am busy trying to join and help out with what I can could I make one suggestion to the mods to perhaps change the name of the title thread as I just spent a bit of time looking for team OC3d.net and then selected this one which I presume is right - Overclock3D Bench Team.

If the title siad I bench for "Overclock3D Bench Team" it may just prevent the anxiety I am now feeling of submitting my first points to the wrong team
banghead.gif
which I do not think I am considering this team is 2nd in the UK - way to go and 67th in the world! Now if thats not an incentive to be part of it I do not know what is

title changed mate

thanks for the idea, i was hoping this thread might get a few more people to sign up and i was hoping if i posted this to try and explain what hwbot is and how it works it might help that.

for people first starting out the beginners sticky (here) or at the top of this section) is probably the best place to go from here as it explains more about benchmarking and how and where to sign up.
