Ok I have a p4c800-e mb and 2 74gb raprors. I plug them into the via sata ports. I go into bios change the settings. I go into the configuration utility in the boot. I creat a raid 0.Everything looks fine looks like it will work.Then now no matter what I do the stupid thing when trying to get an OS on it it locks up . It does not recognize the raid Im going crazy any sugestions?

Use the Intel ICH5R southbridge chip to control your raid and not the Promise chip, it's faster, according to most. Heres a detailed guide on how to do it.

Thanks I think I had a bad sata cable. I will post if I did when I get more time to screw with that machine.
