hydraulic side door opener

Hi there does anyone know where i can get hold of a couple of these (like the ones on the tai-chi case) i am planning to do a split opening on the case door and cant find these Cheers

You should be able to find them at a Hardware store or even an Auto Parts store.

i have tried at local hardware store but no luck and also tried the car boot hydraulic pistons but they are a bit stiff and the trouble would be trying to keep the door shut without thumbscrews lol will keep checking around thanks for the help though

Is that you are looking for, i would have a look around on ebay.

again a little bit too stiff i might try draining a bit fluid out of one of them see if it helps cheers ebay is the cheapest

Well you don't want one form a screen door, unless you want the side panel to close for you. You would want one that opens, ill do some research and see what i can find.

Those will work perfectly, but a bit expensive. Just make a switch on the case, so when the the side panel opens the linear actuator(s) opens the side panel.

you can pick up a couple of pneumatic pistons from e-bay with the desired stroke, attaching a small ballast tank made from copper pipe and a bike valve will alow you to vary the opening force by changing the pressure inside.
