HP Envy 32" 4K FreeSync Monitor $499

I guess good-ish audio comes at the price of aesthetics... but who gets a monitor in this range without getting a good set of sand-alone speakers?

A designer?

HP mainly design their gear for work like Dell.

Either way if the price is for real I will 100% definitely be getting one.

Joking right? my valve amp would slide right in there like it belonged there all along..

No, it looks awful and the stand doesn't lift or rotate. People who are buying 4K screens surely have a dedicated audio solution? Just don't get why they'd spoil it. HP have never been great when it comes to styling IMO.

Really? I actually like HP's styling. My wife's Beats laptop is pretty sweet (all red and black).

Our wifi printer looks pretty slick too :)

This is pretty much exactly what i've been waiting for in a monitor. I agree it looks a tad crap though. Hmm..... Tough choices.....

I wasn't waiting for it but as I said, if that price and all is genuine it would be a step up from what I have now (Acer XB280HK 28" 4k)

It also has Freesync. I switched from Nvidia to AMD so I totally lost G-sync. I'll just lob this thing back in the box and put it on top of my wardrobe as a spare :)
