well my current video cards have a heatsink that is epoxied on the core.. is there a way to remove the hs and all the epoxy safely?

well if youre sure its epoxy resin then i wouldnt even try, most likely rip the wafer in half. might be possible to heat it up and twist it off but its pretty likely to bust the card

it would take a bunch of skill. You could slice the heatsink off, than you would need to very carefully remove as much of the epoxy on the GPU core as you could.

You would probably mess up the core.

If you just want it to look cool I was thinking about making a cooler (like the AC ones) out of red plastic but using a 80mm fan to blow over the heatsinks that are already on the cards, than exiting the case like the AC cooler does.

I would have to try it once and see how it turns out. The problem is this Zalman looks so nice on my 7900GS. I could probably do one for this card for the LAN.

Il see if I have the time, Later
