How to overclock ram ?

hey guys,

can't seem to overclock my ram, I know i need memtest, but how do you get that thing working ?

I don't have a floppy (it's 2011...) and when i use the program that mounts it to a usb, it's not bootable even if i let it format.

memset also doesn't work since i don't have an integrated mem controller.

Wot you need is the HP USB format tool found here http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197

That will make it bootable then you put memtest on it. Boot from USB and load memtest.

K, apparantly everything was good. Just had a different idea of what it was

edit: so it works (i guess) but it says my ram is 1333 while the bios is set to 1600..

how do i make it do that right ?

Not sure how the RAM dividers work on AMD platform you will have to wait for another member to answer that..

According to some threads is red it has something to do with where the bios data is located. I started testing anyway, hope memtest is just wrong and doesnt actually change my real settings

EDIT:

Went from 9-9-9-28 to 9-8-9-25 now, just going to keep it running over night.

Think I'm doing pretty good for 1600mhz 2*4gb value ram
