Well your maximum load temp should be blow 60degC and the top-out for your CPU is here . Its a little hot.....but not too bad. Maybe some additional cooling is required.

If you are interested I have an excellent performing cooler for AMX XP that I bought for £35 and used for a month till I got A64. If you want it then p/m me....I'm looking for around abouts £17....so offer me!

Also see my HSF installation guide here as I have written a full guide and stuff for Socket A HSF installtion.

The spare HSF I have is the Swiftech/SilenX Combo....excellent cooler. Plus its boxed with AS5 included! :)

yeah i might actually buy it off you but i will have to get a bit of cash first how ever much 17 pounds is worth in australian dollars

That's $41 odd....we'll call it $40 and I'll research how much it costs to send...weighs a bit tho! :)

the expected life of a processor is about 8-10 years (it is infact one of the longest lived components in your computer)

overclocking with high voltages usually shortens the life of such a processor by bout 2-3 years so still it will have outlived it use way before it dies (a 486 i oced bout 9 years ago is still kikin around)

note intel are remarkable cagey on temeral limits here thechips quote the maximum watts and maximim case temerature on these charts

EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION -- these temps are the max u can have them @ and they may only live for the length of the warrenpy on those processors personally i cut it down by @ least 10 C

You really dont want temp any higher than 55c. load, idle temp doesnt really matter, load temp is what matters more. I guess I've been lucky with my OC as to not have to run high vcore and get really good temps :)
