Argh such a shame. Was looking forward to this (yeah I'm in the minority that enjoyed the first one)

Looks like it's going to be another long, slow process of optimising before it's actually playable at decent settings. Wait for the summer sales -well winter for you lot.

Enjoyment lost

I was really looking forward this game as i also enjoyed the last one. But was disappointed when i had to turn the setting down to medium on my GTX 980ti's just so i could play it. I am going to try the setting in this article to see what difference that makes and also disable SLI as this game doesn't support it.

From the screen shots in the article there doesn't look to be a huge difference between medium and very high. Per-object shadows appear to be the only (massively noticeable) thing I can see which are missing in medium. Just because the preset is named "medium" doesn't mean it's comparable to medium presets on other games.

This is one of those games that has "steam Sale" written all over it. Add it to your collection once the sale price drops to a more comfortable level.

I may pick it up sooner rather than later as it is going to get Linux support. As a Linux user games like this don't come along too often. However if it runs like arse on Windows it doesn't look good for us penguin loving gamers.
