High resolution monitor

Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good gaming high resolution monitor.

Resolution: 2560x1440 or 2560x1600.

I am going to be gaming on the monitor so it would be good if it had a good response time.

Any suggestions?

There aren't many, only one I can find on Scan is this, and I know there's the Apple cinema display but that costs another 300, being apple and all.

you wont get an LCD with that res and fast enough refresh rates for gaming, unless you opt for the monitor that grizzly mentioned

resolutions of that magnitude are usually used by graphic/CAD designers and have very low refresh rates

Don't get a monitor that big for gaming unless you've got a killer of a rig, dude. Framerate over pixels, any day of the week.

Personally i think you are wasting your money. if you are wanting more screen space i would opt for an eyefinity setup of nvidia surround, whichever cards you have. These monitors are really meant for Photoshopers and 3d modelers.

But if you REALLY want one. Gateway makes some that are nice as well as Dell/NEC.
