10gbit ethernet is atm still to pricy to roll out fully in a home, but with switches dropping in prices with 10gbit 'uplink' ports is going to make an nas a really good solution for a fast storage device next to a nvme ssd.
 
We're pretty much exclusively 10Gbps at work and using Cat7/copper ports is only workable over very short distances - far better to just use regular OM4 LC-LC 50u MM fibre, the error-rate is almost zero and the SFP+'s have really come down in price too.
