While I'm a newb and finding my way around this place;

I want to spec out a new system and want suggestions - where should I post a topic on that?

Where should I look for graphics cards comparisons? (I remember nvidia fixing their drivers so that they would run faster in 3d mark or the usual tests (eg UT) by running at lower AA settings (for example) - I presume you guys are across this and know what is the best kit out there.)

Do you know what kind of processor you'd like to go with? I assume since you're talking about 3d Benching and gfx cards gaming is a big part of your new comp am I right? I would definately urge you to spec out a nice :amd: build.

Feel free to post up a new topic in the :amd: - Other section or the :intel: - Other section so we can get you started on the right path.

Post up ur vid card questions in the Graphics Card - Other section and we can all have a say as to what cards are performing better than others for the money, etc.

Thanks. AMD is the way I'll be going. The more interesting part of my spec is that I want it 'silent'. And capable of playing at max detail on flight sims/latest games.
