Hi,
My name is Van and I am a PC.
Have been involved in IT since early 70s on mainframes, progressing through different generations to some cool biometric stuff.
Now recently retired so overclocking my home interest in IT.
This started with the Sinclair programmable calculator, into a programmable HP "I can't find the equals key" RPN programmable calculator, BBC micro with loadsa upgrades, then into a massive 386SX PC with 2mb RAM and a 40mb HD.
Upgraded stuff myself to current build (which I just realised is two years old - eek - must upgrade) of a Silverstone FT01 "can stop a nuclear strike" (Silverstone is brill!) case, Q9550 CPU, Asus Triton 77 cooler, the original ASUS Rampage Extreme MB, 6gb Corsair RAM, Sapphire HD4800 Toxic 1gb, BeQuiet (scary eyes) 850W PSU - all of which runs absolutely silently.
I "occasionally" play games...
