Take your own advice and type 2600+ Barton AthlonXP into Google. First one up is a 128k cache processor. I have 2 boxes sitting here that say 256k. Go figure

Please either resolve the problem or I will close this thread. Not only due to how it is developing but also because of the amount of incorrect information.

Yea like how hes raising the multiplier through Windows. Yea, if that was possible then why have the need for the FX processors

Now tht I know your on sub-zero, it changes alot. The a64 chips suffer from the cold bug, whereas the aXPs don't. 1.7 is probably quite accecptable as long as the temps arn't going up. Mind if i ask if its a vapochill, Mach, or custom?

Looking at you specs id say the mobo is holding you back. While epox are regauded highly, See if you can pick up a DFI Lanparty SLI-DR somwhere. These boards are tested to hell and proven to be the best overclockes for 939chips and should help you squeeze a bit more out.

Edit: Just noticed your on AGP. My recomendation would be sell teh 7800GS and buy a 7800GT PCI-E. The GS still go for ~£150 here. Whereas the 7800GTs go for ~£100 now. This would give little in the way of perfromnace but it would mean you could use the Lanparty. And DFIs bios' are the best, period.
