I'm a noob from Oxfordshire, I am looking at building a good gaming rig to play new games and also browse the net.

I intend on overclocking it as well as water cooling it at some point.

I am going to use my 32"samsung tv with resolution of 1366 x 768

My budget is around £600-£700

so far I am thinking of:

CPU:

Intel i5 750 2.6Ghz

GPU:

Sapphire HD4870 toxic

RAM:

Corsair dominator pc3-12800 1600Mhz 6GB

any suggestions on other parts or comments on what I have so far

£600 is probably stretching it for a full new system that can play new games. Although if you just plan on gaming and surfing, then go AMD. You can easily get a AM2 Dragon system that will annihilate most new games for that money. £200 for AM2+ mobo/X2 proc/4GB DDR2 RAM, £150 for PSU/HD/DVD, £50 for case would leave you about enough for a 5850.

Gfx card > Processor.
