Hello people of the interwebs.

Been following and creeping about here for quite some time. (Began with following TTL on Youtube, I suspect like a lot of others.) But decided to create a profile and begin posting a bit.

Now a bit about me.

I've been a techhead most of my life, my first computer I got as a six year old, yes six years old, it was a Amiga 500 from my brother. That I used and played with until I was 12, by that time I got my brothers SNES as he got a Playstation. Consoles are lovelly and so on but lets face it not very fun with costumization, I bought more RAM from my Amiga on flea markets to realize they didn't fit and thats where it all began. My first real PC was a AMD Athlon with 512 mb of RAM and 10 gb of HDD space. I used a Voodoo 2 with that rig. Nothing the friends could beat it. I became somewhat of a AMD fanboy at that time. The last AMD machine I had was a AMD Athlon II 64. Love it, its still alive and kicking I was overclocking that like a maniac having a large tower cooler on it. But I've always been a modest overclocker, maybe casual overclocker is more fitting? But adding 200 Mhz more to the 2000 Mhz clocked processor seemed like a lot for me at the time.

I've always loved the guts of computer and electronics. In secondary school (I'm swedish so thats highschool in american terms) I got into electronics more indepth, I started playing with old hifi amplifiers and speakers, so I got into DIY, built my own speakers then, still doing it, still loving it. Its very dangerous and expensive to get into that sort of thing, especially since the hifi market is filled with so much "magic" and mumbojumbo and weeding the real from the fake took a long time! Then I got into computers again decided to build a new computer, then one I'm using now. I want to water cool it, will be my first water cooled rig.

This is what I use today(Large image, not knowing if it will blow out of the windows of the forum I keep it as a link.):

Its a Fractal Design Define R3, with a Intel 2500K cooled by the ThermalRight Silver Arrow. Among side is a GTX580 from EVGA cooled with ThermalRights Shaman VGA cooler.(I'm in love with their design and the TY-140 fans) I have a 120 gb SSD from Corsair, a Force 3 the RAM is Vengence Lowprofile, black ones, 8 gigs for them in CL9 sequence. All this rest on an Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3. I have a Corsair TX750W modular. (think of sleeving it with Paracord to match the colors of the TY-140 fans).

Thanks that all for me for the moment.

Bye!

You'll have to share some pictures of these speakers you've made - sounds very interesting to me

Of course. Here is a imgur album.

Some info.

Midrange: Tangband W4-655C

Tweeter: Vifa XT25TG-30/04

Woofer: Audes 75W87-8

Measured to be about 40 to 20000 Hz. 4ohm lowest impedence. Crossover not complete yet, haven't got around to finish it.

Also the wood front is going to get a few coats of laquer and maybe some staining to deepen the color.

Yeah, it need a bit of more depth and some oil or laquer. But since I'll be moving soon(hopefully) and I dont know what kind of furniture I will have in the new place or color, so I'm saving it until I move so I can match it better.

Think of walnut shaded and them laquer ontop, a few coats so it get really deep and lush.
