Help with sidepanel needed.

Please move this thread if it's in the wrong place. Still new here, joined today. Heh...

Anyway, i'm modding a guardian 921, and that ugly ass windows is a real pain in the backside.

I was thinking that if i fetch a flat blank aluminumplate and put it above the windowhole

(after removing the acrylic ofcourse) and use som plastic padding or something similar on the edges.

Would that work? Or should i just cut a bigger window?

if it's not flimsy cut a bigger window. it's much easier

it'll be like that a lot. fix one thing and a couple more creep out and scare the

begeezus outta. but that's the fun in it to tackle the project head-on. and plus

rely on the community here at OC3D to help with the challenges that do pop-up.

as for the rigidity, you can make the window hole larger and reinforce with tape.

the 2-sided 3M 4010 tape is very strong and frame the window area for strength.

and possibly add sound deadening material to cover up exposed areas.
