This may not be the right place for this, but I thought I'd come here anyways, looks like it gets a lot of hits and is very related to my problem.
Whenever I overclock my Intel Core2 Duo Conroe E6600 to 2.6GHz, my computer freaks out and goes into safe mode every time I F10 and save from the BIOS. If I go a little bit under it (say, 2.589) it starts up, but freezes at the vista log-in screen (yes, I know, vista D=)
The drivers for the motherboard (which is an EVGA 680i) and the BIOS (pheonix award BIOS) are all up to date. I know I've asked this before in another post, but I couldn't find it, so that I could bring it back up for further discussion.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you =)
