Help with FX-55

Hi,

new to all this forum stuff but been overclocking for years.

i have a fx-55 on a a8n sli,on a mach 11 with two xfx 6800gts watercooled,i cannot gt a stable overclock over 3.1(310x10).

3dmark 2003 - 21330

3dmark 2005 - 9812

any help would be appreciated

What volts are you putting through you cpu? the Asus board is notorious for undervolting - and when running under load this could cause the instability?

just the standard 1.650v, cannot get it higher in the bios or ainos

yes, just flashed to 007 , still no option to increase voltage though,there a beta 2009 available....may try that

Put Max V-Core in the Bios and use clockgen to bump it to 1.7V...

I assume your RAM can do 310 fsb and above?? If so then its amazing ram... why dont you try a multi of 12 and then the ram wont be stretched too far

tried clockgen,only a generick for nforce 4 boards so cannot get to 1.7

hi, just tried the 12x and it works now, would not let me go so high on the fsb on the old bios.now at 12x260
