Hi Folks,

I hope you can help.

I have a PC with the following components which keeps telling me that a 'new CPU has been inserted into your system' (when I boot from cold). It is also unstable in windows as it often has an APP Crash message before refusing to work until I reboot, go into the BIOS, save and start again. Windows has been reloaded several times with different CD's being used.

Spec:

Asus M4a785td-v evo (using onboard VGA) with BIOS V. 2105

Phenom X2 550 Black

2 x 2GB OCZ PC3 10666 Gold (OCZ3G1333LV4GK)

550w Power Supply

Seagate 500GB SATA

DVD RW

The BIOS is currently set like this:

Advanced->Jumper Free Settings

CPU Overclock MANUAL 200

- GPU Overclock AUTO

- PCIe Overclock AUTO

* CPU Ratio & Voltages

- Processor Frequency Multiplier 15.5 (3100)

- CPU/NB Frequency AUTO

- CPU Overvoltage AUTO

- VDDNB Overvoltage AUTO

- Loadline Calibration AUTO

* Hyper Transport Configuration

- HT link Frequency AUTO

- HT link Width AUTO

- HT Over Voltage AUTO

* Memory Timing & Voltage

- Memory Clock Mode Manual 667)

- DRAM Timing Mode BOTH

- TCL 9Clk

-TRCD 9 Clk

- TRP 9 Clk

- tRTP AUTO

- TRAS 20 Clk

- TRC, tWR, TRRD,tRWTT, tWRRD, tWTR, tWRWR, tRDRD, tRFC0, tRFC1, tRFC2, tRFC3 all set to AUTO

- Memory Overvolt 1.65

Can anyone please help as it's driving me nuts!

Thanks.

J

First thing to check I guess would be the temperatures on the CPU and if there are any bent pins on the CPU. Second what brand of PSU is it? Third have you tried setting the Vcore to 1.3V and seeing if it will post normally then.
