Help !? Windows cannot be installed to this disk

hi all,
So I'm having some problems installing windows 7 Home Premium 64bit onto my corsair force 120GB SSD,
When I'm at the "where do you want to install windows?" part I get the message "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks."

Questions:
1: I don't really know what this means, I'm terrible when it comes to software and could anyone explain the problem to me.
2: How do I fix this problem

It might be good to note I have always had my OS on this SSD, the only reason I am reinstalling it is because I was having software problems a few days ago and I decided to wipe the SSD and start fresh, I was told to format it and remove everything then when I put the hardware back in I started having this problem.

(please excuse my lack of software knowledge)

Do you have fast boot enabled in your bios ?

Are you trying to install in UEFI mode ?

If you can open up a cmd windows I suggest you format it and try again -

Diskpart
select disk 1 (1 being the number of you disk, this could be different)
clean

thank you for your reply I just realised I was trying to install in UEFI mode so the problem is now solved :)

Hey mate, if I was you I would give uefi mode a go, quite a big difference in boot times and shutdown times.. You'll be pleasantly surprised :)
