im going to buying the Asus Maximus Extreme IV and geting 8gb of memory 4x2 for dual channel and i really want to get the Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler now this is what i dont know is the cooler going to fit... for dual channel to work i need to use both red slots on the motherbord is that correct? so that means the first black slot wont be in use so is the cooler going to get in the way of the slot im going to be using?
help please

Which RAM in particular are you using ? It depends on the height of the RAM heatsinks. You definately will not be able to fit this cooler in with all RAM slots occupied...unless the RAM you're using is tiny.

if your worrying about clearance issues get muskin redline ridgeback and ull be sorted as they fit no bother at all
Just buy Mushkin or the new GskillripjawX ram and it will fit under the cooler fine
