Help Needed quick

So I was advised to get a new psu because I was having start up problems due to not having the 8 pin atx power connected since my old psu could not reach. I got a new PSU (Silencer 760W High Performance Power Supply), I plugged it in and it my computer would start up, beep, shut down, start up again and beep again while it kept running. It would also give me the same "No signal" on my monitor. I ended up trying my old psu since i was last able to get it to boot into windows while i cradled it in my arm so it could reach the 8-pin atx. Sure enough it didn't work either so I was wondering whats up. I then looked on the back of my motherboard and saw a slightly bent pin (not the cpu socket, the back of the mobo). Im wondering if that would be the cause of my problem. Its not bent badly, but still bent and only 1 pin.

My mobo manual says that 1 beep indicates that VGA is detected, No keyboard is hooked up, and quickboot is disabled.

Specs: Intel Core i5-2500k

Asus P8P67 Rev 3.1 B3 Motherboard

Sapphire HD Radeon 5770 Vapor-x

8GB of (blue) Vengeance DDR3 RAM

Things I have tried/confirmed:

-Everything is hooked up correctly

-PSU works

-Tried resetting cmos by taking out battery

-Its not the RAM or gpu because no hardware failures and I tried my other GPU and it did nothing

-Again no hardware failure beeps from motherboard

-All components are secured in their socket

-No thermal paste on cpu

-I took a can of air to the sockets to make sure no metal filings or dust were in them

this is a difficult one, ey

imho power distribution on the motherboard could be a problem. if this a bent pin, a loose condensator or a faulty cable i cannot tell.

this could explain the different behaviour on both PSU's.

was this system functional and for how long?

Have you ran it out of the case to discount any shorting problems?
